WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
Newsletter Subscriptions
If you sign up for our Newsletter and/or Updates you will be asked for your email address. Please rest assured that this is only used for our newsletter subscription and email updates. We will never share or sell this information to anyone. We have used a double opt-in subscription since the beginning of this website. This means you get an email to get you to confirm that you did subscribe to it yourself. You will need to click the link to authenticate this and confirm that you want to subscribe to our Newsletter and receive emails from us from time to time. As of October 22, 2018, we are using a new GDPR friendly sign-up form for greater clarity.
Once on our mailing list you will get some email updates containing news, blog posts, tips, special offers, promotions which includes or may be classified as marketing. By subscribing, you are agreeing that you are happy for us to send these emails.
Of course, as always, you are free to unsubscribe at any time from our Newsletters and emails as every email contains a link to unsubscribe at the bottom.
We use MailChimp to collect and store the contact details and send the Newsletters and email updates. Please read Mailchimps Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. If you unsubscribe and wish to delete all records of your previous subscription contact Mailchimp or send us an email with the title (unsubscribe) so we can remove them.
Any information like your email address is totally private and will not be sold or shared. Promise.

The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). Analytics
WordPress and third-party widgets/plugins and software used to operate this website may use information about visitors for analytics purposes. This could include your location, pages viewed, links clicked, downloaded files, pages or posts shared, how you came to this site and search terms for example. These are just website stats and are used anonymously. This is used to better understand our visitors, see what articles are popular and improve the content we create for you.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
Our website has a SSL Certificate which means it is safer for you. If you have a look in your browser you will notice a green locked padlock symbol before the web address to show this. This means that all data you enter into our site is therefore processed with the secure SSL Certificate.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive a file with the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
We may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce our agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our visitors, newsletter subscribers or others.
